Proceedings of the 2001-Luminy conference on Quasilinear Elliptic and Parabolic Equations and Systems.

Foreword

The Conference on Quasilinear Elliptic and Parabolic Equations and Systems took place in the Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques in Luminy (near Marseille, France) from September 3 to September 7, 2001. The aim of the conference was to emphasize the progress in the study of qualitative properties of solutions of quasilinear equations and systems.

The organizing commitee consisted of Jérôme Busca from CNRS, Université Paris 9 and Laurent Véron from Université de Tours. The scientific commitee was composed by James Serrin (University of Minnesota, Minneapolis ), Pavel Drabek (University of Plzen), Jean-Pierre Gossez (Université Libre, Bruxelles), Raul Manasevich (Universidad de Chile, Santiago), François Murat (Université Paris 6) and Laurent Véron (Université François Rabelais, Tours).

The following researchers presented 50 minute talks at the conference:

This conference was made possible thanks to the generous help of the Société Mathématiques de France and the CNRS which gave us the possibility of using the facilities in the CIRM. The organizers are also grateful to the Conseil Général des Bouches du Rhône for the financial support it provided.
