Mathematical model for a membrane bioreactor process

Abstract:
In this article, we consider a simple mathematical model involving biomass growth on organic materials in a membrane bioreactor for a waste water treatment. Details of qualitative analysis are provided. We proposed a high gain observer that permits the reconstruction of the biomass concentration and the endegenous decay based on on-line measurements of the chemical oxygen demand (CDO).
